Welcome

Through MOVEMENT and BREATH, yoga RELEASES physical tension, creates CLARITY in of mind, FREEDOM and STRENGTH in the body. A toolkit for navigating life.

Yoga connects us to our bodies, taking focus away from the busyness of our minds. YOGA means ‘to unite’ .. body, mind and spirit (soul, being, purpose). Both a physical and a mental practice, creating space in the body and mind - let go of things that hinder a peaceful mind. Yoga is the vital pause in the rhythm of life.

Yoga is for EVERY BODY. There is no perfection in yoga .. it is PRACTICE for a lifetime!

I have been attending Victoria’s classes for several years and after every practice I feel a sense of rejuvenation .. like my clock has been reset to the correct time .. it puts me right for the week ahead. Yoga with Victoria has not only helped me with my flexibility and muscle strength, but more importantly has taught me how to calm a busy mind.

Yoga truly is for everyone …

Influenced by the creative freedom of Vinyasa Flow, strength and discipline of Ashtanga, and gentle nurture of Restorative and Yin, my teaching and personal practice travels a very intuitive path .. it’s how the practice feels rather than how it looks that’s important. I am inspired by creativity and exploration, by honouring the individual’s needs and learning from traditional philosophical practices, often invaluable tools to manage modern life. My classes combine mindfulness, movement and relaxation. Sequences are created to gradually increase in strength whilst increasing confidence and toning, building strength and flexibility. Sequences are adapted for different levels of flexibility and abilities - complete beginners are very welcome.

We are all different, unique! One size does not fit all

.. one alignment cue does not suit all bodies! Often traditional instruction is not suitable or safe in the average body but we can still align the body in a safe way to create space and build strength without being uncomfortable, in painful and in uncompromising positions - something I love about the practice of yoga.

I have been practising yoga for over 10 years and teaching for 5, and I am constantly learning new things about the practice through my students. Our time together is friendly, fun, warm and inclusive .. we have built a wonderful community with new students joining all the time. If you have any concerns, injures or not sure whether yoga is for you please get in touch.

Victoria is a great teacher, incorporating good explanations with techniques used. She always brings something new and interesting to the class.

Menopause Yoga Workshops

Ladies, whatever our age, we should see Menopause as something to aspire to, to embrace! In eastern cultures it is exactly that - women become wise, revered, supported. The average age of the Menopause in the UK is 52 .. but the physical and mental changes within the body and our minds can start in our early 40’s or earlier. Becoming menopausal does not mean that life is over .. we potentially have over a third of our lives to live, to explore, to grow and enjoy. Like puberty, Menopause can be a difficult and tricky journey to navigate - unlike puberty we are not educated about what is happening and how to manage our fluctuating hormones and their side effects.

How can yoga help my Menopause?

I knew that during Menopause yoga would help keep my body strong and soothe my anxiety but I had no idea how much more it had to offer the symptoms often endured during a woman’s midlife. Based around both Western and Eastern philosophies, Menopause Yoga supports and guides women through this transitional journey - covering diet, skin and hair care, mental and physical support bringing positive, nourishing and nurturing approach to this very natural time in a woman’s life, a toolkit of techniques to support whatever stage or symptom. We are all unique and often women feel very alone during this time, that they have contributed to a state of confusion, discomfort, heat and inability think straight.

Victoria is everything and more that I could ever hope to find in a yoga teacher. She is knowledgeable, empathetic and kind ..... she is generous in sharing what she has learnt.

My yoga story so far …

Hi, I’m Victoria .. or V

Based in West Oxfordshire.

In 2017 I completed a 200 hour TT with Alessandra Pecorella at London’s Aditya Yoga then continued my teacher training with Charlotta Martinus of TeenYoga and Bryony Duckitt of YogaBeez enabling me to teach children in schools. In 2019 I trained in Yin Yoga through Yoga Vidya Speyer, then in 2020 took part in the Liberate mentorship programme with Naomi Absalom and Menopause Yoga (MY) teacher training with Petra Coveney.

I absolutely love what I do - sharing my knowledge, learning more all the time, helping people feel better about themselves .. getting out of their heads and learning to love their whole being.

I teach a number of weekly Vinyasa Flow classes for adults, a yummy Restorative and Yin class and run regular Menopause Yoga workshops and classes .. such a special form of yoga! Being able to educate women going through this inevitable and natural time of their lives, sharing the tools to empower them to manage their symptoms their way so they can look forward to and embrace a positive future.

Why not give it go .. move, feel, connect and find a little bit of peace in a mad world.

Vxx
